Welcome to the Software Systems Engineering (SSE) program of the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS)!

TGGS provides industry-oriented graduate engineering education and research in Thailand based on the RWTH Aachen engineering education model. It is a public private partnership venture for engineering education, technology development and economic cooperation. Different from many other software engineering programs, the SSE program is putting strong emphasis on the fact that modern industrial software usually is part of a complex system with deep connections to application specific environments and possibly special hardware. This view is stressed by the term Software Systems Engineering. The SSE curriculum prepares the students for the challenges arising from the system-orientation of software by offering specifically tailored courses like, e.g. human computer interaction or software for embedded systems as electives additionally to the classic software engineering topics. Another characteristic of the program is the solid theoretical foundation which improves the participants' ability to abstract from domain-specific problems and transfer the acquired methodical concepts to new fields of applications.

Topics of Interest:

  • Software Engineering

  • Software Architecture

  • Data Communications

  • Internet Technology

  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

  • Wireless Technology

  • Multimedia Systems

  • Security Systems

  • Computer Graphics

  • Embedded Systems

  • Advanced Database System

  • Efficient Algorithms

  • Image Processing

  • Compilers for Scientific Computing

Graduates of our program will be of great interest to high-demand software engineers industries from automotive industries banking to telecommunication. They can be expected to be technically innovative to work as software systems engineers and to manage large projects in both governmental and private organizations, locally and in multinational environments. For those who want to continue their studies abroad, it is very likely to be accepted by leading international universities, particularly those in Germany.
